Punk icon and vocalist João Gordo (Ratos de Porão) has teamed up with Wikimetal Music to launch Brutal Brega, a fun tribute to “brega” music. Featuring Brazilian music classics transformed into punk rock versions, the project was featured on TV shows such as Altas Horas and Conversa com Bial, as well as participating in festivals such as Summer Breeze 2023. In 2024, the project continued with its second release: Brutal Brega MPB Mode, an album paying tribute to artists such as Caetano Veloso, Alceu Valença, and others.
